A winged species whose violent past was ended by a spiritual leader, Alar, whose preserved mind was stolen and threatened to spark a holy war.
The Skorr are a feathered, winged humanoid species with a warlike past. Their culture was transformed by Alar, a religious leader who taught them peace. After his death his brain patterns were preserved in a sculpture known as the Soul of Skorr, which became their most sacred object.
In the animated episode The Jihad, the sculpture was stolen and the Skorr threatened to launch a holy war across the galaxy if it was not recovered. The Vedala gathered a team of specialists including James T. Kirk, Spock and a Skorr named Tchar, who travelled to a chaotic, shifting planet to find it. The team recovered the Soul of Skorr and the war was averted.
