The Hupyrians are a tall humanoid species with a large head and distinctive facial features. They are known chiefly through Maihar'du, who served Grand Nagus Zek as his personal servant and constant companion, and was rarely if ever heard to speak.
Maihar'du first appeared with Zek in The Nagus and remained at his side through many of the Ferengi leader's later visits to Deep Space Nine. He gave the Ferengi plots a recurring and quietly comic background figure.
