The New Mexico town near which Quark's shuttle crashes in 1947, creating the incident later remembered as the Roswell UFO legend.
Roswell is a town in New Mexico on Earth. In Little Green Men, a kemocite accident throws Quark's shuttle back to July 1947, and it crashes near Roswell, where the United States Army takes Quark, Rom and Nog into custody at a nearby base, believing them to be Martians.
The episode presents the Ferengi visit, together with the hidden Odo, as the true story behind the famous Roswell UFO incident. The visitors finally escape by harnessing the energy of an atomic test in Nevada to return to their own century.
