Galorndon Core is a barren world close to the Romulan Neutral Zone, swept by violent storms that block transporters and communications and damage living tissue. In The Enemy the Enterprise answered a distress signal from a crashed Romulan vessel there.
An away team rescued one badly hurt Romulan, but Geordi La Forge was left behind and captured by another survivor, Bochra. As the two struggled to survive together, the Enterprise faced a tense standoff with a Romulan warbird under Tomalak until La Forge and Bochra were recovered.
