American actor who played Spock in the three Kelvin Timeline films, sharing the screen with Leonard Nimoy's elder Spock.
Zachary Quinto (born 1977) is an American actor and producer who became widely known as the villain Sylar in the science fiction drama Heroes before being cast in Star Trek.
Quinto played Spock in Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) and Star Trek Beyond (2016). The first film explores the younger Spock's struggle between his Vulcan and human halves and the destruction of Vulcan, and it pairs him with Leonard Nimoy, who appeared as the elder Spock from the original timeline. Nimoy publicly supported Quinto's casting, and the two became friends.
Outside the franchise Quinto has appeared in American Horror Story, NOS4A2 and the film adaptation of The Boys in the Band, and he produced the financial drama Margin Call. He has also worked extensively on stage, including the Broadway revival of The Glass Menagerie.
