Susan Gibney, an American actress born in 1961, played Dr. Leah Brahms, a designer of the Enterprise-D's warp engines. In Booby Trap, Geordi La Forge recreates her on the holodeck to help him save the ship, and in Galaxy's Child the real Brahms comes aboard and discovers the simulation, creating an awkward and memorable encounter.
On Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Gibney played Captain Erika Benteen in the two-parter Homefront and Paradise Lost.
