Marc Alaimo

Actor — Gul Dukat

American character actor best known as the Cardassian Gul Dukat, Deep Space Nine's most enduring villain, who also played the first Cardassian seen on screen.

Marc Alaimo is an American actor known for villainous roles. Before Deep Space Nine he appeared several times on Star Trek: The Next Generation, playing Commander Tebok, the first Romulan seen in that series, in The Neutral Zone, and Gul Macet, the first Cardassian depicted in any Star Trek series, in The Wounded.
Alaimo became a fixture of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Gul Dukat, the former Cardassian prefect of occupied Bajor. Appearing from the pilot onward, Dukat evolved from a self-justifying former overseer into an ally of the Dominion and finally an agent of the Pah-wraiths, making him one of the franchise's most complex antagonists. His relationship with his daughter Tora Ziyal and his rivalry with Benjamin Sisko ran through the series to its finale.
Alaimo's performance is regularly cited among the best villain portrayals in Star Trek, and the role defined his later career.
