A Cardassian gul who served aboard the Enterprise-D as an observer during the pursuit of the rogue Captain Benjamin Maxwell.
Gul Macet came aboard the Enterprise-D in The Wounded, soon after the Federation and Cardassia had made peace. Captain Benjamin Maxwell of the USS Phoenix had begun destroying Cardassian ships, and Macet accompanied Picard while he tried to stop him.
Maxwell insisted that the Cardassians were secretly rearming, and his suspicions proved correct. After Maxwell surrendered, Picard warned Macet that the Federation would be watching. Macet was played by Marc Alaimo, who later played Gul Dukat.
