The network of Bajoran guerrilla cells that fought the Cardassian occupation of Bajor until 2369.
The Bajoran Resistance was made up of independent cells of fighters who waged a decades-long guerrilla campaign against the Cardassian occupation. Using sabotage, ambushes and bombings, they made the occupation costly enough that the Cardassians withdrew from Bajor in 2369.
Kira Nerys fought from an early age in the Shakaar cell, led by Shakaar Edon, and many resistance veterans later took posts in the Bajoran government and Militia. Episodes such as Duet and The Collaborator explore the guilt and grievances the occupation left behind.
