The interstellar state of the blue-skinned Andorians and one of the founding members of the United Federation of Planets.
The Andorian Empire is the government of the Andorians, centred on the icy moon Andoria. In Enterprise it is a proud, militarised power locked in a long border dispute with the Vulcans over the planet Weytahn, also called Paan Mokar.
Through the efforts of Jonathan Archer and the Andorian commander Shran, the Andorians move from suspicion to partnership with Earth. They join the Coalition of Planets and become one of the founding members of the Federation in 2161.
