In 2151 Enterprise sent a landing party to an unexplored Class M world, where a storm and hallucinogenic pollen nearly turned the crew against each other.
The planet was the first Class M world Enterprise had surveyed, and Captain Archer allowed a party that included Trip Tucker, T'Pol and Travis Mayweather to camp overnight on the surface. A violent storm drove them into a cave, where pollen released by the local plants began to cause paranoia and hallucinations among the humans.
T'Pol, unaffected, had to hold the group together while Phlox worked out a treatment aboard ship. The mission showed both the dangers of exploring alien environments and how little the crew still knew. The world was later given the name Archer IV.
