In 2257 Michael Burnham brought her brother Spock to Talos IV, where the Talosians helped unlock his fractured memories of the Red Angel and of a terrible future.
Spock had been left unable to communicate after his encounters with the Red Angel, and he was wanted by Starfleet on false murder charges. Burnham took him to Talos IV, the planet Starfleet had placed off limits, and was met there by Vina, who still lived among the Talosians.
The Talosians agreed to help in exchange for Burnham's painful memory of the day she had driven Spock away as a child. Through them she shared Spock's visions, which revealed a future in which all sentient life was destroyed, and Discovery came to retrieve the pair while Section 31 closed in.
