Cadets play a combat game and trade pranks, ending in a fungus prank war with the War College.
The cadets are introduced to Calica, a combat simulation game, and War College cadets embarrass Caleb, Darem, Genesis and SAM with transporter pranks. Ake teaches gardening as a lesson in strategy and introduces the vitus reflux, a protected plant that mirrors people's emotions. Caleb is upset to learn Tarima joined the War College without telling him, but they make up.
Darem wins the team captaincy over Genesis and challenges the War College team to a night match, but his poor leadership gets him disqualified, and Genesis takes over and scores. With a hint from Ake, the cadets plant the vitus reflux in the War College dorms and feed it growth chemicals, and its enormous growth wins the Academy the prank war. The episode was directed by Doug Aarniokoski and written by Alex Taub and Kiley Rossetter.
