Discovery's crew evacuates to the Enterprise, but the sphere data blocks the self-destruct. Burnham proposes using the time crystal to send Discovery and its data far into the future, with her wearing a new copy of her mother's suit to lead the way. The crew chooses to go with the ship.
Po, the young queen of Xahea, helps power the crystal and prepare the suit, and Spock and Burnham repair their relationship. Section 31's fleet, under Control, arrives, and Discovery and the Enterprise prepare for battle. Olatunde Osunsanmi directed the first part of the finale; the title quotes Romeo and Juliet.
