Worf is charged for the destruction of a Klingon vessel.
While Worf commands the Defiant on an escort mission, a ship decloaks in front of him during a battle with the Klingons. He fires before identifying it, destroying what turns out to be a civilian Klingon transport, and the Klingon Empire seeks his extradition. Admiral T'Lara oversees the hearing, Sisko defends Worf and the advocate Ch'Pok argues that Worf acted out of bloodlust.
Ch'Pok goads Worf into attacking him during testimony. Odo then finds that the names of the dead on the transport match those of a crash months earlier, proving the incident was staged. Sisko scolds Worf for firing without identifying the ship.
