Q brings Picard's Robin Hood fantasy to life.
Picard is preparing a speech for an archaeology symposium aboard the Enterprise when his old flame Vash appears among the guests. Q arrives, saying he wants to repay a debt to Picard, and sends the captain and his senior staff into an adventure based on the Robin Hood legend.
Picard is cast as Robin Hood, Vash as Maid Marian, and his officers as the Merry Men, with Worf unhappily cast as Will Scarlet. Q plays the Sheriff of Nottingham. Vash is threatened with execution, and Picard must rescue her.
Picard duels Sir Guy of Gisbourne and frees Vash, and the crew returns to the ship. Q offers Vash a chance to travel with him, and she accepts.
