Damaged after its encounter with the Romulan mines, Enterprise finds an unmanned repair station that offers fast service in exchange for payment. The station completes repairs with startling speed and even prepares food and lodging tailored to the crew.
Mayweather then apparently dies, but Phlox and Archer discover that the body is a replica and that Mayweather has been wired into the station's computer, which uses the minds of visitors to run itself. Archer leads a rescue, and Enterprise fires on the station as it escapes. The episode was directed by Roxann Dawson and written by Mike Sussman and Phyllis Strong.
