Son of Alixus who helped his mother keep her colony stranded and tried to stop O'Brien from exposing her secret.
Vinod is a colonist on the uncharted world in Paradise and the son of the community's leader, Alixus. Along with Joseph, he meets Sisko and O'Brien when they beam down and find their technology disabled by a duonetic field.
When O'Brien slips away and finds the generator buried beneath the ground, Vinod follows him and shoots at him with a bow, but O'Brien outwits him and brings him back to the village. After Alixus admits she created the field, Vinod is taken away from the planet with her.
