Jem'Hadar Third who captured Sisko and Quark and delivered the Dominion's first warning against Alpha Quadrant ships entering its territory.
Talak'talan is the Third, or field commander, of a Jem'Hadar unit in The Jem'Hadar. His soldiers seize Sisko, Quark and the telekinetic Eris during a camping trip in the Gamma Quadrant, and he tells Sisko that the Dominion will no longer tolerate ships from the other side of the wormhole.
He shows a detailed knowledge of the Alpha Quadrant and refuses to let Sisko speak to the Founders. Later he beams into Ops on Deep Space Nine despite the station's shields, announces that Sisko is being held, and walks through a security force field before leaving.
