Sarina Douglas is one of a group of genetically enhanced people whose augmentation left them unable to function in society. Withdrawn and almost entirely silent, she joins Julian Bashir's treatment of the group, and in Statistical Probabilities she frees Bashir when the others tie him up to leak Starfleet's plans to the Dominion.
In Chrysalis, the group brings Sarina to Deep Space Nine so that Bashir can attempt a cure. The treatment succeeds and she begins to speak and engage with the world, and she and Bashir fall in love. Bashir comes to realise that he has pushed her too fast, and they part. She was played by Faith Salie.
