San was a boy in the Mirror Universe who befriended the teenage Philippa Georgiou during the deadly contest to choose the next Terran emperor. When he failed to kill his own family, Georgiou enslaved him as she took the throne, and she later believed him dead. As an adult he was played by James Hiroyuki Liao.
San resurfaced as the masked figure who stole the Godsend, planning to destroy the Prime Universe and build his own empire. In his final fight with Georgiou he fatally stabbed himself and died in her arms.
