Portal 63 was an ancient guardian of the extinct Tkon Empire who awoke on Delphi Ardu IV to judge the Enterprise and Ferengi crews.
Portal 63 was a guardian left behind by the Tkon Empire, which had vanished some 600,000 years earlier. In The Last Outpost the Enterprise and a Ferengi ship were trapped by a power drain near Delphi Ardu IV, and Data awakened the guardian from a crystalline structure on the surface. Portal 63 did not realise his empire was gone.
He challenged the two away teams to show their worth. The Ferengi denounced the humans, but Riker answered Portal's questions with wisdom borrowed from Sun Tzu and said he would not abandon the Ferengi. Impressed, Portal released both ships and returned to his long sleep. Darryl Henriques played him.
