A Romulan scientist who helps Admiral Valdore control the drone ship sent to set Earth's neighbours against one another.
Nijil is a Romulan scientist working under Admiral Valdore. In Babel One he helps operate a remote-controlled Romulan vessel that uses holographic disguises to attack Andorian and Tellarite ships, and he is revealed at the end to be directing it from Romulus.
In United, Nijil and Valdore continue to control the marauder ship, which Tucker and Reed are trapped aboard, and he faces the anger of Senator Vrax over their loss of full control. In The Aenar he expresses concern for the kidnapped Aenar telepath whose mind is used to pilot the drone.
His unease about the human cost of the operation sets him slightly apart from his more ruthless commander, though he carries out Valdore's orders. Nijil was played by J. Michael Flynn.
