Natima Lang is a Cardassian professor and political dissident who was once the lover of Quark, until she ended the relationship after he betrayed her trust. She arrives at Deep Space Nine with her students Hogue and Rekelen, who are wanted by the Cardassian Central Command for seeking to reform its military government.
In Profit and Loss, Quark offers a cloaking device for their escape, and Lang admits she still loves him. When Gul Toran moves to have the dissidents killed, Elim Garak shoots him instead and lets them go. Lang leaves to continue her work, promising to return to Quark. She was played by Mary Crosby.
