The part-Klingon, part-Jem'Hadar first officer of the Athena and cadet master of Starfleet Academy.
Lura Thok is the part-Klingon, part-Jem'Hadar first officer of the USS Athena and the cadet master at Starfleet Academy, played by Gina Yashere. She is a demanding presence for the new cadets and works closely with Nahla Ake and Admiral Charles Vance.
When Jay-Den Kraag struggled with grief over his brother's death and his family's rejection, Thok helped him see things in a new way. She is in a romantic relationship with Jett Reno, who transferred to the Athena partly to be with her, and during Nus Braka's attack she and Vance uncovered his plan to lead a cartel of non-member worlds against the Federation.
