Entharan weapons trader falsely accused of assaulting Seven of Nine on the strength of memories that proved unreliable.
Kovin was an Entharan arms dealer who sold Voyager an isokinetic cannon. Played by Michael Horton, he was brusque and self-centered, and during the installation he and Seven of Nine clashed over procedure.
In Retrospect, the Doctor helped Seven recover what appeared to be repressed memories of Kovin assaulting her and extracting her nanoprobes. Kovin protested his innocence, knowing an accusation alone would ruin him on a world that depended on trade, and he fled. He died when his ship was destroyed during the pursuit, and the crew afterward realized the memories had been false.
