Kima is one of the two schoolgirls in the Short Trek Children of Mars, played by Ilamaria Ebrahim. She and her classmate Lil develop a fierce rivalry at school on Earth, and their clashes grow increasingly hostile.
Their conflict is overtaken by tragedy when news arrives that Mars and its shipyard facilities, where both girls have family, have been attacked by rogue synthetics. News footage shows Admiral Jean-Luc Picard calling the attack devastating, and the grieving girls are drawn together.
