Hirogen Alpha who took Voyager captive and used its holodecks to hunt the crew, hoping holograms could save his people's way of life.
Karr was the leader of the Hirogen who captured Voyager in The Killing Game. Played by Danny Goldring, he had the crew fitted with neural interfaces and placed in holodeck simulations, including a Nazi-occupied French town, where the Hirogen hunted them as prey.
Karr believed the Hirogen, scattered in small hunting parties, would die out as a culture, and that holographic hunts could let them settle and stay together. He reached a truce with Janeway, but was killed by a subordinate who had become consumed by his Nazi role.
