Captain John Harriman commands the USS Enterprise-B when it is launched in 2293. The ship is not fully equipped when it leaves spacedock, and Harriman is eager to impress the legendary officers invited aboard as guests, including James T. Kirk.
In Star Trek Generations, the Enterprise-B answers a distress call from two El-Aurian transports trapped in an energy ribbon. Unsure of himself, Harriman turns to Kirk for help. The rescue saves some refugees, including Guinan and Tolian Soran, but Kirk vanishes when the ribbon strikes the ship. He was played by Alan Ruck.
