A Hirogen engineer who upgraded the holographic prey on a training facility, making them self-aware, and later joined them.
Donik is a Hirogen engineer rather than a hunter, and in Flesh and Blood he is the only survivor when Voyager finds a Hirogen training facility whose holograms have killed the crew. He had enhanced the holograms' programming, using technology the Hirogen received from Voyager, so they could feel pain and fight back more convincingly, making them self-aware.
After the holograms led by Iden abduct the Doctor, Donik comes to sympathise with them and works with them on their plans. Once Iden is stopped, Donik chooses to stay with the surviving holograms to help them build a new life, and Janeway agrees.
