The Kzinti commander who captures Spock, Uhura and Sulu in order to seize a powerful Slaver weapon in The Slaver Weapon.
Chuft-Captain is the leader of a group of Kzinti, a warlike feline species, in The Slaver Weapon. His people have lost much of their former power, and he hopes that Slaver technology will restore their empire to greatness.
The Kzinti use an empty stasis box to lure the shuttlecraft Copernicus to an ice planet, where they capture Spock, Uhura and Sulu and seize the shuttle's stasis box. Inside is a powerful weapon, which changes hands several times before it is finally destroyed, ending the Kzinti hope of using it.
