Starfleet captain of the USS Odyssey who led the rescue of Sisko from the Jem'Hadar, which ended in the destruction of his ship.
Captain Keogh commands the Galaxy-class starship USS Odyssey in The Jem'Hadar. After the Dominion takes Sisko and Quark prisoner in the Gamma Quadrant, the Odyssey arrives at Deep Space Nine and Keogh takes charge of the rescue mission, making clear that Starfleet is suspending wormhole traffic while it assesses the threat.
The rescue frees the captives, but three Jem'Hadar ships attack as the runabouts retreat. One of them deliberately crashes into the Odyssey, destroying the starship along with its attacker and showing the Federation how dangerous the Dominion can be.
