Brone led the Vori soldiers who took in Chakotay, part of an elaborate simulation designed to turn him against the Kradin.
Brone was a Vori soldier commanding a small unit fighting the Kradin, whom the Vori called the nemesis. When Chakotay's shuttle was shot down over a jungle planet, Brone's troops captured him, then accepted him once they determined he was not one of the enemy.
In Nemesis, Brone and his men drew Chakotay into their war, showing him atrocities they blamed on the Kradin until he took up arms himself. After Tuvok rescued him, Chakotay learned that the experience had been an elaborate training and indoctrination program, and that Brone's world reset to recruit others, leaving him struggling to put his hatred aside.
