A con artist who posed as a demon of Ventaxian legend and claimed ownership of the planet Ventax II under an ancient contract.
Ardra arrived on Ventax II in Devil's Due claiming to be a mythical figure who, according to legend, had granted the Ventaxians a thousand years of peace in exchange for owning them afterwards. She used advanced technology to perform apparent miracles, including disappearing the Enterprise-D from orbit.
Picard challenged her claim in a formal arbitration with Data acting as judge. He exposed her as a fraud by finding the cloaked ship that powered her illusions and duplicating her tricks, and Ardra was taken into custody.
