A Haliian officer suspected of murder after her relay station was found deserted, and with whom Geordi La Forge fell in love.
Lieutenant Aquiel Uhnari served on Relay Station 47 near the Klingon border. In Aquiel, the Enterprise-D found the station empty, with apparent evidence that she had been killed. Geordi La Forge became attached to her through her personal logs. When she was found alive, she became a suspect in the death of her colleague, Keith Rocha.
The killer was revealed to be a coalescent organism that could absorb and imitate other life forms, which had taken Rocha's form and then tried to take Aquiel's. Geordi destroyed it, and she was cleared. She and Geordi began a relationship.
