The leader of the colony on Dorvan V who refused to leave when the Federation ceded the planet to the Cardassians.
Anthwara heads the tribal council of the Native American colony on Dorvan V. His people spent two hundred years looking for a home with the right spiritual qualities and are determined not to abandon it.
In Journey's End, Anthwara tells Picard that one of his ancestors took part in the suppression of the Pueblo Revolt in the seventeenth century, a revelation that troubles Picard. Anthwara finally announces that the colonists will give up their Federation citizenship and remain on the planet under Cardassian rule.
