Mother of Julian Bashir who joined her husband in arranging their son's illegal genetic enhancement when he was a child.
Amsha Bashir is the mother of Julian Bashir. Worried by her young son's slow development, she and her husband Richard took the decision to have him illegally genetically enhanced, and the family lived with that secret for years, while Julian grew distant from his parents.
In Doctor Bashir, I Presume, Amsha and Richard visit Deep Space Nine when Lewis Zimmerman wants to interview them for a medical hologram modelled on their son. Their visit brings Julian's enhancement into the open. After Richard accepts a prison sentence to save Julian's career, Julian makes some peace with both of his parents before they return to Earth.
