Archer's friend and rival in the warp program, a daring test pilot who first broke the warp 2 barrier.
A.G. Robinson was a Starfleet test pilot and Jonathan Archer's chief rival in the early warp program. In First Flight, after learning that Robinson has died in a climbing accident, Archer tells T'Pol how Robinson was chosen over him to fly the NX Alpha, broke the warp 2 barrier, and escaped when the ship was destroyed.
The two came to blows after Robinson blamed Archer's father's engine, but they later reconciled and made an unauthorised flight together to prove the design worked. Robinson was played by Keith Carradine.
