A Delta Quadrant people who once oppressed the Kazon until the Kazon rose up, seized their ships and left the Trabe as wanderers.
The Trabe are a humanoid people of the Delta Quadrant who once kept the Kazon as an oppressed underclass. The Kazon eventually rose up, took control of the Trabe's ships and drove them from their homeworld, leaving the Trabe as wanderers.
In Alliances, the Trabe leader Mabus offered Voyager an alliance, and Kathryn Janeway agreed to help arrange a peace conference with the Kazon sects. Mabus used the conference as cover for an attempt to assassinate the Kazon leaders, and Janeway ended the alliance after the betrayal.
