A plant-based species from the planet Phylos who, with a human scientist, tried to use a giant clone of Spock to impose peace on the galaxy.
The Phylosians are intelligent plant beings from Phylos. Long ago a disease carried to their world by a human visitor killed most of them, leaving only a few survivors and a large number of animated plant servants.
In the animated episode The Infinite Vulcan, the Enterprise found the survivors living under the guidance of Dr. Stavos Keniclius 5, a clone of a human scientist. He planned to create an army of giant clones to keep order in the galaxy, and he chose Spock as the model, making an enormous copy of him. James T. Kirk persuaded the giant Spock and Keniclius to abandon the plan, and the clone stayed to help the Phylosians rebuild.
