The Mizarians are humanoids of Mizar II, known for a culture of extreme passivity. Rather than fight, they have repeatedly accepted foreign rule, and their world was conquered six times in three hundred years, a record they regard as a means of survival rather than a failure.
In Allegiance, the Mizarian Kova Tholl was abducted alongside Jean-Luc Picard, a Bolian cadet and a Chalnoth named Esoqq by aliens studying authority and leadership. True to his people's ways, Tholl urged cooperation with the captors while the others argued over how to escape, until Picard exposed the experiment.
