A peaceful, horned humanoid species best known for Jaresh-Inyo, President of the Federation during the Dominion threat of 2372.
The Grazerites are a humanoid species with prominent horn-like ridges across the head. Their best-known representative is Jaresh-Inyo, who served as President of the Federation when Changeling infiltration of Earth was discovered.
He was a cautious, reluctant leader, and his hesitance allowed Admiral Leyton to push for martial law on Earth. Sisko ultimately exposed Leyton's coup, and Jaresh-Inyo remained in office. His story spans the two-part DS9 arc Homefront and Paradise Lost.
