Scavengers who salvage derelict ships and technology, repeatedly clashing with the crew of the USS Cerritos.
The Drookmani are a scavenger species who roam space claiming wrecks, debris and abandoned technology for themselves. They first appeared in the Lower Decks episode Terminal Provocations, competing with the Cerritos for the contents of a derelict ship, with Captain Freeman seeking a diplomatic way out while Shaxs pushed for force.
They returned in A Mathematically Perfect Redemption, when the exocomp Peanut Hamper secretly guided them to the Areore homeworld so she could later pose as its saviour. The Drookmani stole an ancient Areore fighter and nearly destroyed the Cerritos before being driven off.
