A Danube-class runabout destroyed in 2372 by a bomb planted by the Cardassian terrorist group known as the True Way.
The USS Orinoco was a Danube-class runabout assigned to Deep Space 9 during the station's middle years. It served alongside the other runabouts on transport and patrol missions in the Bajoran sector.
In Our Man Bashir, the Orinoco was destroyed by sabotage from the True Way as Sisko, Kira, Dax, Worf and O'Brien returned to the station. Michael Eddington beamed them out at the last moment, but their patterns had to be stored in the station's computer, and they reappeared as characters in Julian Bashir's secret agent holosuite program until they could be restored.
