A Starfleet ship of the Dominion War that fired on Sisko's captured Jem'Hadar fighter during a mission behind enemy lines.
The USS Centaur was a Starfleet starship of an uncommon design that served during the Dominion War. In 2374 it was commanded by Charlie Reynolds, an old friend of Benjamin Sisko.
When Sisko and his officers flew a captured Jem'Hadar attack ship deep into Cardassian space to destroy a Dominion ketracel-white storage facility, the Centaur encountered them and opened fire, taking them for the enemy. Sisko had to escape the attack without returning fire or revealing his crew's identity, and the stolen ship continued on its mission.
