The first shuttlepod of Enterprise (NX-01), in which Trip Tucker and Malcolm Reed nearly died believing their ship had been destroyed.
Shuttlepod One was one of the small shuttlepods carried by Enterprise (NX-01) in the 2150s, used for short-range survey missions and transfers. It had limited power, life support and sensors compared with later shuttlecraft.
In Shuttlepod One, Trip Tucker and Malcolm Reed found what looked like the wreckage of Enterprise and concluded that their ship had been lost. With the shuttlepod damaged by micro-singularities and their air running out, they recorded farewell messages, until Tucker ignited the engines to create a flare and Enterprise, which had survived, found and rescued them.
