The Pi was a small Romulan scout ship that crashed on Galorndon Core, a storm-swept planet on the Federation side of the Neutral Zone, in 2366. The Romulans afterwards claimed that it had strayed off course through a navigational malfunction.
In The Enemy, Riker, Worf and La Forge found the wreck after answering its distress call. One badly injured survivor was taken to the Enterprise-D, while La Forge, stranded on the surface, was captured by another, Bochra. Commander Tomalak's warbird approached to recover the crew, and the cooperation forced on La Forge and Bochra helped avert a clash.
