The Kreechta was a Ferengi D'Kora-class Marauder commanded by DaiMon Bractor in 2365. It arrived unexpectedly while the Enterprise-D and the old USS Hathaway were fighting a training exercise under the eye of the Zakdorn strategist Sirna Kolrami.
In Peak Performance, Bractor's attack left the Enterprise's weapons locked in simulation mode, and he demanded the Hathaway, assuming it must be valuable. Picard faked its destruction while the Hathaway escaped with a brief warp jump, and Worf then tricked the Ferengi sensors into showing a Federation ship approaching, sending the Kreechta away.
