Warship of the nomadic Hirogen hunters, whose pursuit of Voyager culminated in the seizure of the ship in The Killing Game.
Hirogen hunting vessels were the warships of the Hirogen, a nomadic species whose culture revolved around stalking and killing prey. Each ship carried a small party of hunters, and Hirogen territory included an ancient relay network the hunters used for communication.
The Hirogen first came to Voyager's attention in Message in a Bottle, when the crew used their relay network to reach the Alpha Quadrant. In Hunters, Prey and The Killing Game, hunting vessels pursued Voyager, hunted Species 8472 and eventually seized the ship to turn its holodecks into hunting grounds.
