Cardassian ATR-4107 missile reprogrammed by B'Elanna Torres for the Maquis, found by Voyager in 2372 heading for a populated planet.
Dreadnought was the nickname of a Cardassian ATR-4107 autonomous missile, an unmanned weapon with its own artificial intelligence, a powerful warhead and layered defences. Maquis fighters captured the missile, and B'Elanna Torres reprogrammed it to strike a Cardassian target, giving its computer her own voice.
The missile was believed destroyed, but it had been pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker, the same force that stranded Voyager. In 2372 Voyager found it on course for Rakosa V, a populated planet that the missile had taken as its new target.
In Dreadnought, Torres beamed aboard and pitted herself against the missile's intelligence, which treated her efforts to stop it as Cardassian tampering and lied to her. Janeway prepared to sacrifice Voyager to stop the weapon, but Torres finally overcame her own defences and destroyed the missile before it could reach the planet.
